I have had a series of curious and continuing insights in recent weeks on why I am using some of these photographic manipulations in creating work for this series, when I have never previously made much use of my own photography in my broader practice. I have realised that i see expressive photography and distortion and playing with the image as much ‘drawing’ as anything else I do. Today’s is a prime example. It may not seem obvious, but it is very much a drawing.
