I find it curious that when drawing I find it hard sometimes to relinquish control and am subjected to the power of the subject to force the medium. Yet with photography I am happier abandoning control to the phone, particularly when taking entirely blind shots. Maybe it is to do with happy accident and the aesthetic equilibrium so often delivered by pure chance. I should exploit this more when drawing.
