I was amused today to discover a new app called Auto Painter. Basically it’s one of those which takes a photo and converts it to a painting, not just through a filter but by running a series of mini programs over the image. The challenge with this sort of app for me at least is to try and subvert the process; despite the alluring promises made, the paintings all end up looking just like the original photo. Anyway, I managed to throw it off track slightly with today’s image. I am particularly pleased by the uncontrolled brown smudge by the left eye.
