Shellac experiments

Been meaning for ages to try out painting with oil on paper sized with shellac instead of oil primer. It’s supposed to be a nice fast surface and it probably would have been had I not used a rough paper.

Still, the combination of painting practically blind in dim yellow light from a bad screen shot made me feel better about watching too many episodes of Rizzoli and Isles.
